Founded by Mr. Ram Mohan, ComAfrique began as a humble venture in The Gambia with a vision to connect Africa's rich agricultural resources with the world. What started with a single product—raw cashew nuts—has grown into a diversified portfolio including sesame seeds and groundnuts.

Mr. Ram Mohan
Founder & Chairman
He has over 25 years of experience in Trading of Agro Commodities from Africa. Besides being the founder of ComAfrique, he is also the Honorary Consul General of India to The Gambia since 2003, owns The Vineyard Multi-cuisine Restaurant, is the current Chairman of the Fajara club (a 50 year old Golf Club in The Gambia).

Mr. Amrith Kurien
Managing Director
He is a Law and Management Graduate. With over 25 years of experience in Trading of Agro Commodities, he is the Group’s Trader of Agro Commodities. Along side he is a columnist for Cashew & Sesame Journals.

Jamila El Alami
Operations Director
A pillar of strength for the Group since its inception. She looks into the daily management of the company operations in The Gambia. Her experience in the business and her dedicated involvement in the matters of the company is definitely a key factor to the success of ComAfrique.

Sumeet Tank
Associate Director
A Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience and a former Country Head for Tata Africa in Senegal. He is currently based in Dubai & oversees the Bissau operations and accounts.
Corporate Social Responsibility
We are deeply invested in the communities we operate in, driving positive change through targeted initiatives.
Founded in 2009 to realize green, decentralized and low cost lighting in rural areas of Africa. Eradicating the use of dangerous and costly candles and kerosene lanterns by introducing revolutionary solar products from India.
Actively encouraging sports in The Gambia. Close partnership with Gambia Cricket Association, providing cricket equipment to schools. Amrith Kurien helps coach the cricket team of the visual and hearing impaired. Sponsoring sporting events at Fajara Club and annual caddy competitions.
